APPEAL FOR DONATIONS BY THE 1990 TRUST

Koku Adomdza
6/10/2007

The 1990 Trust is the only national black-led independently funded Charitable Trust in the UK promoting human rights through advocating racial and economic equality.

The 1990 Trust is the only national black-led independently funded Charitable Trust in the UK promoting human rights through advocating racial and economic equality. The corporate vision of eliminating discrimination and promoting human rights for all can become reality only through the generosity of our supporters and donors. Our charity registration number is – 1012898

We seek to achieve our corporate vision through the following principles:
– Constituency, Substance and Relationships
– Collective Action and Unity of Purpose
– Social Justice as a Guide to Life
– Empowerment of the People
– Integrity throughout

Supporters of 1990 Trust will help us to create a secure and sustainable financial foundation for our work. Revenue raised through individual and organisational donations are applied to our core operations enabling us to focus our energy on specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-specific programs from which we produce quality evidence based impact reports with the aim of promoting a fair, equitable and just UK.

The 1990 Trust strongly believes that all human beings are born equal and have fundamental rights regardless of race, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality, culture, age, disability. We hold strongly that the dignity of every person evolves around their fundamental human rights, at the centre of which is race. We yearn for a more equal, tolerant and peaceful world.

Unfortunately, the world is replete with grotesque human rights abuses every day, hour, minute and second. Your contribution could immensely help us to bring some dignity to the less fortunate who hunger for a taste of the freedoms that we take for granted.

We use the following directorate structures as enabling tools to pursue our vision:

– Information Communication Technology
– Social Analysis
– Community Leadership
– Volunteering & Internship
– AsEqual
– Equanomics UK

Our current fundraising objectives are directed at:

A] Infrastructural
– Replacement of our antiquated computers
– Photocopier
– Printers
– Server
– Rebuilding of our web site
– Own Premises

B] Capacity Building
– Human Resource Development including Salaries
– Organisational Development

– Governance

C] Projects
